Police are asking for help identifying a foot found on the shoreline

The foot was found in September and was wearing a grey Nike shoe

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) –┬áPolice in West Vancouver are hoping someone will be able to help them identify a foot found in a shoe along the city’s shoreline.

The foot was recovered last September, but despite performing DNA tests, police haven’t been able to find a match.

The foot is believed be a man’s size 9.5. Based on the bone structure, it’s believed to belong to someone under the age of 50.

Police do not suspect foul play at this time. The foot does not match any missing person profiles.

The deceased’s shoe was a light grey Nike Free Run RN with a black logo and white base. The shoe had white laces and the foot was wearing a blue sock.

The shoe had an OrthoLite insert, and was relatively new.

Fifteen feet have been found on the B.C. shoreline since 2007. Ten have been identified and five have not.

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Vancouver Police at 604-925-7300.
