VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It looks like UBC students want to make sure the snow goes to good use before it all disappears.
A massive snowball fight on Main Mall at the Point Grey campus saw over 3,000 warriors show up. The snowy showdown began at noon on Wednesday.

The “battle plan,” as outlined on the Facebook event page, said participants would line up on either side of Main Mall between the Sauder/Chemistry Buildings and hold on to their ammunition until exactly 12 p.m., when they let the snowballs fly.

Two winters ago, there was another snowball fight on campus, and organizers are hoping this year’s event will be even bigger.
Over 4,000 people said they are interested in taking part this year, and at least 3,000 showed up.
