CHILLIWACK (NEWS 1130) – A woman shot in Chilliwack earlier this week has died from her injuries and the homicide team has taken over the investigation.

The woman, 42-year-old Christine Denham, was shot at a residence in the 9400-block of Victor Street the afternoon of Feb. 26 and taken to hospital in critical condition.

She passed away in hospital on March 1.

Investigators believe the shooting was not a random incident, and are asking the public for any information on who Denham was meeting with that day, or what she was doing.

They say Denham was known to police and had several files with them, but did not have a criminal record.
