KELOWNA (NEWS 1130) – It’s a happy ending in the search for man’s best friend.

Atlas, the one-and-a-half-year-old golden retriever who appeared to be lured from his Kelowna home on the weekend, has been returned home.

CCTV video from Saturday shows a woman taking the dog out of his yard and running away. Atlas’ family worked with police to bring him home.

In a Facebook post, Atlas’ owner, Taylor Galt, offered his thanks for the massive search, and flood of tips.

“This exhausting chase is now over,” he said. “There are no words to describe how happy I am to announce that I have Atlas back. Being reunited with Atlas is the best feeling ever.”

Three people are being credited with the pup’s safe return, and will collect a reward.

Atlas seems to be in good spirits, and was ecstatic to be reunited with his family.
