Arrest made in series of indecent acts near Vancouver private school

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The Vancouver Police have made an arrest in relation to a series of indecent acts near York House private school on Vancouver’s West Side.
In a statement, Sergeant Jason Robillard told NEWS 1130 criminal charges have not yet been laid.
“The suspect was taken into custody early Tuesday morning and has since been released with conditions,” he said. “The investigation is ongoing and no additional information can be provided at this time.”
A letter home to York House parents said the arrest was connected to ongoing incidents of indecent exposure at the school.
“During the past several months, we have issued safety warnings and communicated with parents and students our concerns regarding several incidents of indecent exposure by an unidentified male in and around our neighbouring community,” the statement said.
The school said VPD informed them the individual they believe is responsible has been arrested.
Meanwhile, RCMP are saying a B.C. Mountie has been arrested by Vancouver Police and an internal code of conduct investigation is underway, though they have not connected the case to the York House arrest.
“The suspect arrested is a member of the RCMP and the allegations relate to incidents that occurred while they were off-duty,” Dawn Roberts, an RCMP spokesperson, told NEWS 1130. “An internal Code of Conduct [investigation] is underway and the individual has been suspended with pay. This status will be continually assessed. Their name cannot be released at this time as charges have not been approved.”
Neither the RCMP or VPD have confirmed there is a connection to the York House arrest.
