Tamara Taggart nominated as Liberal candidate for Vancouver Kingsway

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was scheduled to be in Vancouver Sunday evening to join local Liberals at a nomination event for Vancouver Kingsway.

Tamara Taggart, a former broadcaster, announced in December that she would be seeking the nomination for the riding.

The Liberal Party has confirmed on Twitter Tamara Taggart will be running for the Vancouver Kingsway seat.

Taggart is a mother of three and a winner of the Order of British Columbia. She has long been an advocate for people with disabilities.

Vancouver Kingsway has been held by NDP Member of Parliament Don Davies since 2008.

Trudeau was scheduled to be at the nomination event in the Kensington Community Centre on Dumfries Sunday evening.

The election will be held in October of this year.
