BBB warning buyers about bikini seller claiming to be in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about an online bathing suit seller that claims to be located in Vancouver.

BikiniShe.com, which lists 780 West Pender as the company’s address, has earned an “F” rating from the BBB for “challenging return information.”

The BBB’s Karla Davis says they’ve received over 60 complaints about BikiniShe since the beginning of March alone, many of them about poor customer service.

“Based on the number of businesses that we report on in our database,” she says, “We’ve actually seen numbers that suggest that BikiniShe has the largest number of complaints received for any those businesses in less than four weeks.”

In a notice on the company’s BBB profile, it says the company states a 15-day return policy by doesn’t list a return address. The only address on the website is in Vancouver, implying returns should likely be directed there.

But complaints submitted to the BBB show consumers who purchased bathing suits from the site had difficulty getting in touch with the company, and found it impossible to return the items within the required window.

On February 5, 2019, the BikiniShe website was updated with a statement that said: “Note: We ship orders from China, the international orders aren’t eligible for free returns. Customer will be responsible for return shipping and handling fees. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.”

The BBB says it’s not clear from the website which countries qualify for free shipping, and there is no return address listed.

Davis says as far as the BBB knows, no Canadians have fallen victim to the site.
