Senior in hospital after South Vancouver hit-and-run

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A 71-year-old woman has serious injuries after she was hit by a mini van while in a crosswalk on SE Marine Drive at Victoria Drive before 1 p.m.
Police say the driver did not stop and drove away, and believe they have found that vehicle — a silver coloured mini van — parked in New Westminster.
Police are still searching for the driver of that vehicle.
People who were in the area at the time went to help her, and stayed until she was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Detectives are asking anyone who saw what happened, or who may have dashcam footage, to call 604-717-3012.
Traffic in that area is backed up, and Victoria Drive is still closed in both directions. Police say it will be stay closed until around 8 p.m.
