VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Giving incorrect information about a home he was selling has cost a Vancouver realtor $6,500.

Steven Sion Hok Oei with RE/MAX told potential buyers a home he was selling was built in 2006.

But the Real Estate Council of B.C. says “he knew or ought to have known” that it was actually constructed in 1976.

The council has also ordered the realtor to complete a remedial education course.
