Woman shot in North Vancouver last week dies

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A Burnaby woman who was shot in North Vancouver last week has died. Anita Nguyen was shot near Lonsdale Ave. and 12th St. in North Vancouver last Tuesday.

After spending several days on life support, the 32-year-old has died. On Thursday, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) said she had “non-survivable injuries.”

No arrests have been made.

Investigators believe it was a targeted shooting, but the motive is unclear.

The victim has had interactions with police. IHIT has said while a few of those interactions “have been negative,” there’s nothing they are aware of in her past that would link her to last week’s shooting.
