Parmenter will be honoured at a service at the Salmon Recreation Centre Saturday. He has been remembered as a church elder, a volunteer and a foster parent. His death has rattled the B.C. Interior town and left questions about the suspect and the motive for the shooting.

A 25-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and disguising his face while committing an offence. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 7.
