CHILLIWACK (NEWS 1130) –┬áPolice in Chilliwack are looking for someone who allegedly robbed and attacked a 92-year-old man on April 25.

Corporal Mike Rail with the Chilliwack RCMP says the senior was on his back porch when a younger man asked to use his phone. When he was denied, he asked to sell him some meat instead.

“And from there, the man allegedly pushed the victim down and stole his wallet,” Rail says.

There is no word on the extent of the victim’s injuries, or how much money the thief got away with.

Rail says the suspect is an Indigenous male.

“Short and stocky,” he says, “[With] salt and pepper hair, brown with grey, and possibly with a goatee.”
