Human remains found inside burned-out truck in rural Okanagan

OLIVER (NEWS 1130) — Human remains have been found among the debris of a burned out truck in the Okanagan.

The person who was found in the truck hasn’t been identified.

Mounties say they found a burned Ford pickup truck just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday in a remote location east of Oliver B.C. The truck is believed to have been stolen from Penticton, but it was so badly damaged by the fire, police aren’t sure of the vehicle’s make and model.

Investigators are still trying to find out what caused the fire and the person who died.
