PRINCE GEORGE (NEWS 1130) – A suspected hit-and-run in Prince George has killed a 48-year-old man in a wheelchair, and seriously injured someone else.

It happened just after midnight on May 11, when police stumbled onto a crash scene on Vcitoria St, finding a damaged electric powered wheelchair and a bicycle.

Two men were taken to hospital, where the 48-year-old succumbed to his injuries. The cyclist, a 56-year-old, is expected to survive.

Investigators are asking whoever is responsible to turn themselves in. They believe the two men were struck by a car in the northbound lane that didn’t stop.

They believe the suspect’s vehicle is a dark colored 2012 or 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a lot of damage to the passenger side.
