Highway 1 westbound re-opened after Langley crash sends two to hospital

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) — Highway 1 westbound has been re-opened after it was closed down because of a crash, according to Drive BC.

Two people were airlifted to hospital after a crash near the 264 street exit.

BC Emergency Health Services said the call came in around 12:15 p.m. on Sunday. Paramedics said one vehicle was sent into the ditch.

“We got a call at 12:15 about an MVI — a single vehicle in the ditch,” Amy Robertson with BCEHS explains. “Seven crews responded, including supervisors.”

Police were asking people to avoid the area to allow access to emergency vehicles.

It’s unclear what condition the two people are in. There’s also no word on what may have caused the crash.
