Meeting sought in fatal Oklahoma police shooting of teen

EDMOND, Okla. — The parents of a black teenager who was naked and unarmed when he was fatally shot by suburban Oklahoma City police want a meeting with the police chief, mayor and other city officials to get their take on what transpired.
Attorney Andrew M. Stroth said Thursday that Vicki and Troy Lewis want to know what happened April 29 when their son, 17-year-old Isaiah Lewis, was shot and killed by Edmond police.
Police have said that Isaiah Lewis was naked when he broke into a home and that he attacked two officers who followed him inside, who shot him after a stun gun failed to stop him.
The parents requested a meeting with Edmond police Chief J.D. Younger, Mayor Dan O’Neil and other city officials in emails sent Wednesday.
City spokesman Casey Moore says the emails were received, but that he doesn’t know if the officials will meet with the family.
