It’s great to be back Vancouver! I’ll be on the beat of this summer’s hottest events bringing you all the action from community events, concerts and festivals through labour Day.
We kicked off the season and the May Long Weekend with country fun at the 73rd annual Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair. A Special interview with The Juno award winning band The Washboard Union chatting beards, roots and summer plans.
We also spent some time on the airwaves with Alberta Saddle Bronc Champ Kolby Wanchuk and his Ricky Ticky Wanchuk. News 1130 was proud to sponsor the West Fine Art Festival this year at the Rodeo showcasing 18 Canadian artists and life in the west.
Sunday I explored the 8th annual Vancouver Comic Art Festival at the Roundhouse Community Centre and was thrilled to get the chance to chat with Amulet comic artist Kazu Kibuishi.
It was a royal Victorian affair this weekend at both the Historic Stewart Farm in Surrey and the Burnaby Village Museum. All hail the Queen and our British heritage.
For the first time, Jurassic Quest took Vancouver by storm. A family frenzy over this new exhibition that returns again next weekend and celebrates the pre-historic age with baby dinosaurs, fossil exhibits and interactive dinosaur fun for the entire family.
See you next weekend Vancouver!
