The rain didn’t dampen the Hyack Festival on Saturday in New Westminster. One of the largest parades in BC with over 100 marching bands and floats, community members came out to celebrate despite the wet conditions this year.
Sunday was a busy one, starting with the MS Walk at Concord Pacific. Team UBC came 2nd place, raising $15,000 for MS research. I spoke with Sarah Le Huray on her battle with the disease alongside her high spirited team ‘Making Lemonade’.
Colour Fest 2019, only in it’s second year was a lively South Asian celebration of the Spring Festival of Holi complete with Bollywood dancers and a colour war at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam.
The 21st annual European Festival drew community members from all European countries to celebrate food, culture and traditions at the Vancouver Alpen Club. From Schnitzel to perogies the food was hard to resist.
