CHILLIWACK (NEWS 1130) – A man from Edmonton who recently moved to the Lower Mainland hasn’t been heard from since January, and now, his mother is hoping you can help find him.
Kristofer Shawn Couture, 25, last got in touch with a family member from Edmonton at the beginning of the year. According to the most recent information gathered by the RCMP, Couture recently moved from Edmonton to the Lower Mainland for a job at a construction company. Mounties say he was seen at work in Maple Ridge on January 25. He may have gone to a gym in Burnaby the same day, and his vehicle was found a short time later in Chilliwack.
“Police and family are concerned for Kristofer’s wellbeing,” Corporal Mike Rail with the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment said.
Both Couture’s mother and investigators are hoping someone who has information on where he may be recognizes his photo.
“This is my plea to every mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin, and friend out there to help me find my son Kristofer,” Eva Couture, Kristofer’s mother, said. “Please, don’t take a cursory look at these pictures. Look deep into your memories and try to recall the last place you may have seen him.
“I’m missing a piece of me not knowing where he is,” Eva said.
She noted that her son’s loves the gym, and calls fitness his “passion”, adding the gym is one of his favourite places to spend his spare time.
“Kristofer, if you’re listening, I’m begging you to let the RCMP know you’re safe. I’m heartsick not knowing you are okay. I need you to know that I love you and miss you.”
Eva has been in the Lower Mainland for more than a week to look for her son. She said they’ve been everywhere looking for him.
Couture is described as a Caucasian male who is 5’8″ tall and weighs about 190 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
