Child falls from second storey of a home in East Vancouver, rushed to hospital

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A young child was sent to hospital by ambulance after falling from the second storey of a home.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. Friday in East Vancouver near Clark Drive and East 11th Avenue, according to B.C. Ambulance Services.

The fall appears to be accidental, according to police.

The extent of the child’s injuries are not known, and the sex and age were not specified.

Authorities did not confirm whether the child fell from a window or a balcony.
