VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Good news for drivers as we head into the weekend: gas prices are about to drop quite a bit.
Dan McTeague with Gas Buddy says the price at the pump will go down a cent Friday, followed by a six cent drop on Saturday, which will put prices at about 159.9 cents a litre for regular.
Aaannnddd, it's supposed to drop another three cents on Sunday to 156.9/L for regular and possibly as low as 143.9 in some areas of the Lower Mainland. GasBuddy says this is due to fears of a potential China-US trade war. Happy weekend! ⛽️ @NEWS1130/@CityNewsVAN https://t.co/1iqIby5RoJ

Right now, people in the Lower Mainland pay the highest gas prices in the country, partly due to gas taxes.
Tweet us the gas prices you spot at @1130gastracker and we’ll share your find with the Lower Mainland.
