Police officer injured during Hats Off Day motorcycle drill

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — A police officer was injured during the annual Hats Off Day festivities in Burnaby on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, one of their officers was hurt during a motorcycle drill team event.

The officer’s injuries are non-life-threatening, and he’s recovering in the hospital.
The officer’s motorcycle apparently slipped on some debris on the road, which caused him to fall off.
