Nothing like spending some quality time with our summer cruiser sponsor G&F Financial at Burnaby’s biggest festival, Hats Off Day! The community took their hats off in support of local merchants like Burnaby Neighbourhood House and real life superheros like the Burnaby Fire Department. This community event is the first Saturday of every month and the lucky ladies pictured here won a pair of tickets to the Rotary Wine Festival next weekend.
Next stop…the first ever House of Vans skateboarding pop-up at the Harbour Events Centre…. a mecca for skaters of all ages that highlights skate culture, action sport and street art.
Sunday I wrapped up the 42nd annual Vancouver International Children’s Festival with some kids favourites including Rock and Roll TV Star Will Stroet of Will’s Jams where he launched his new CD Rocks and Roots! Parents are a Drag queens Playwright Peach and Queen of East Van brought the spirit of dress up to the younger generations. These new parents have their very own young Dexter already performing in their popular Zee Zee Theatre kids show!
Last stop was the 3rd Japan Market Vancouver attracting huge crowds to Robson Square in celebration of the Japanese culture…. a cultural event that has exploded with popularity.
