WHITE ROCK (NEWS 1130) — After being refused access to a community centre, the White Rock Pride Society has filed a complaint to the BC Human Rights Tribunal.
The complaint is over discrimination, as the society was not allowed to rent out a community centre run by the Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Parish.

Last April, the Society was trying to rent out the centre for a pride event, and had been told the centre was available.
But after a few days, the church turned down the application.
Because the complaint is now before the Tribunal, the Society says it can’t provide further comment.
