Stolen car crashes into police cruiser in Surrey, pair in custody

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — A five-car crash in Surrey this afternoon didn’t seriously hurt anyone, but a man and woman are in custody, and one of the damaged vehicles is an RCMP cruiser.
Police say a stolen car ran a red light on King George Boulevard near 96th Avenue around 2:30 this afternoon.

The officer involved was responding to an unrelated file, but investigators say his siren was activated and emergency lights were on.
The couple in the stolen car initially ran away, but they’re both in custody now.
