Child injured by razor blades at playground in Calgary’s NE

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — A Calgary woman says she’s angry and sick to her stomach after her son was injured while on a playground in the northeast community of Thorncliffe.

Gillian Webster says someone wedged two disposable razor blades at the top of a slide at the park near Centre St. and 60 Ave.

She says her 4-year-old son, James, suffered cuts to his buttocks and a hand.

He did not require stitches.

Webster posted a photo on Facebook, showing the boy’s torn pants with patches of blood on the back.

The boy was at the park with his day home group when it happened.

Calgary police believe it was an isolated incident, and are investigating.
