BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – Mounties say they have identified the driver and semi believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run last week, that left a 71-year-old pedestrian dead in Burnaby.

No charges have been laid.

On June 6, Mounties were called to the area of Marine Way and Boundary Road for reports a 71-year-old man had been hit by a vehicle.

Witnesses had said they saw a truck pulling a dark red shipping container stop briefly after the collision, then continue on toward New Westminster.
