VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The latest winner in the NEWS 1130 Unsung Hero contest is Kyle Arce of Vancouver. He was nominated by Juliet Hoffman.

Arce, who is also known as Kyle Cardigan in the community is a “tireless supporter of his Vancouver community and an inspiration to us all,” according to Hoffman.

“Always making sure everyone feels included, supported and has a chance to play,” she says. “Even if this means he doesn’t get to play himself (he is also a very talented musician).”

He hosts annual charity fundraising events to support BC Children’s Hospital.

“Not only does he raise awareness for this cause throughout the year, he also runs an annual 24 hour D&D marathon fundraising game, where he is present and inspiring for the entire 24 hours and more,” Hoffman says, adding he does all of this while supporting his family and without asking for anything in return.

Alpine Credits is acknowledging Kyle with $500 & they’re also donating $1,000 to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation.
