Grouse Grinders raise money for BC Children’s Hospital

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The Grouse Grind is a rite of passage for many, but for today, people will be hiking the trail as many times as they can.

The Grouse Grind Challenge kicked off at 4 a.m. and goes until 11 p.m. to raise money for BC Children’s Hospital.

Last year, the event brought in $34,000.

Brooke Spence completed the challenge 17 times last year, tying the record for the most times done in a single day.

Grouse Mountain is the top visitor attraction in the Lower Mainland, bringing in approximately 1.3 million people annually.
