Woman attacked by four pit bulls

CALGARY (660 NEWS)– A woman and her dog escaped without serious injuries, after being attacked by four Pit Bulls in southwest Calgary.

Calgary police say it happened in the Woodview area of Woodlands, Friday night.

The woman was out walking her pet around 7:45 p.m., when the four dogs escaped their house and attacked.

Detective Shawn Rupchan says responding officers used their vehicles to maneuver the Pit Bulls and get them back into their home.

“Bylaw attended and they classified it a level three offence and tickets were issued to the dog owner,” said Rupchan.

The woman suffered only minor injuries. Her dog was treated for a puncture wound.
