Hiker stranded on Grouse rescued

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) –  Search and rescue teams extracted a hiker from Grouse Mountain Monday morning after she found herself stranded on a cliff.

North Shore Rescue said at 9:35 a.m. that crews were heading in to find out where exactly she was.

She was stuck on the south side of the mountain.

Just after noon, the rescue group tweeted it had extracted the woman.

This comes after a busy Sunday, with teams responding to a number of calls throughout the day.
