VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) –  Charges will likely be recommended after a bizarre incident over the long weekend near Sunset Beach in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Police Department says a 36-year-old man climbed into a car through its opened convertible roof on Sunday at around 6 p.m. The car’s owner came back, saw the man just sitting there and asked him to leave.

He refused.

Police showed up and asked the man to exit the vehicle. He again refused, saying it was now his car.

Officers eventually used a bean bag shot on the man’s legs to get him out of the car. He was not seriously injured.

The VPD is pursuing criminal charges related to mischief.
