VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A Vancouver police officer has been charged after two VPD cruisers collided last summer, hurting three officers and two women.
The BC Prosecution Service says Constable José Domingo has been charged with driving without reasonable consideration.
At about 8:30 p.m. on June 29, 2018, the police cruisers were on their way to an emergency — with sirens and lights on — when they crashed at Smithe and Howe Streets.
Two pedestrians and three officers were taken to the hospital.
No charges were recommended against the officer driving the other cruiser.
Cst. Domingo will appear in court on Aug. 8.
