Cris Leykauf with Delta Police says a man was on his way home in Ladner, when he noticed someone following him.

“The driver actually confronted him outside of his home, stating ‘you should know why I’m following you,'” she says.

He didn’t, so he called police.

And when they arrived, “they noticed the driver had a distinct odor of liquor on his breath, so they asked him to provide a breath sample into the approved screening device, and it resulted in a fail.”

Leykauf says the man’s first mistake was getting behind the wheel of his car after drinking. The second mistake was following the man to his home and confronting him.

“Reading over the file, it seems like he realized that his mistake may have been to his level of intoxication,” he says.

The driver was given a 90-day immediate road-side prohibition and his car was impounded for 30 days.
