Whistler mountain bike festival to host adaptive bike session

By

WHISTLER (NEWS 1130) – The world’s biggest mountain bike festival will host its first-ever adaptive mountain bike session in Whistler this August, and Crankworx says riders of all abilities are welcome to join.

A limited number of adaptive three and four-wheel mountain bikes will be on hand for people to test out at the Crankworx Adaptive Jam Session.

Riders will have access to the learning area and to B-Line Trail in the Whistler Bike Park.

Last year the festival put a strong focus on women’s equality in the sport, and continues to work on equality and diversity for 2019.

Whistler has become an international destination for riders with disabilities because of its vast trail network and wide, accessible trails.

The Adaptive Jam Session takes place on August 12 from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Crankworx Whistler runs from August 9 to 18 this year.
