BURNABY – (NEWS 1130) – If you’re planning to take Hastings Street through Burnaby Thursday afternoon, you may want to find another route.
It will be closed between Boundary and Willingdon starting at 4 p.m., near the height of rush hour, so cyclists can race down Hastings as part of the annual Giro di Burnaby.
There will also be other road closures nearby for the professional bicycle race, which is part of BC Superweek.
Some of the top men and women cyclists from North America will race for prizes worth $15,000.
If you want to check out the action, the first race is at 5:30 p.m.
Hastings is expected to re-open by 10 p.m.
