Parents enjoyed shopping local at the Portobello West Market Pop-Up in collaboration with the West Vancouver Family Fun Fest Saturday at the West Vancouver Rec Centre. This annual community event was free fun the entire family could enjoy… with access to free swimming, bouncing, ride and slide and activities….smiles all around.
The Vancouver Whitecaps FC pre-game Warm Up Party kicked off at the Plaza of Nations with free fun for all ages….. join the fan fest the next five Saturday home games from 2pm until 6:45pm.
Sunday I made my way to Pitt Meadows for the 8th annual Bees and Blueberries Festival at Dr Bee Honeyland. Not only did the entire community support this event but it was an opportunity for families to learn about the importance of bees to our environment. Dr Ron Lin and son Richard braved the bee beard…. and I even tried my hand at beekeeping, which was not as easy as I thought.
Next weekend I’ll be on the beat with G&F Financial at the Hard Rock Casino Ultimate Car Show. You can also find me chatting with musicians at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival! Have a great week Vancouver see you next weekend.
