VPD investigating after driver hits multiple vehicles, abandons Mercedes

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Police in Vancouver are confident they can track down the suspect of a hit and run which damaged several vehicles and sent one person to hospital on Monday night.
VPD Constable Steve Addison says it happened at Main and Terminal at around 9:40 p.m.
“There was a driver in a Mercedes that was speeding along Terminal when he struck a number of vehicles that were stopped at a westbound light,” he says.
That’s when the suspect ran off.
“The vehicle was abandoned at the scene – and we’ve seized the vehicle and we have an idea of who the driver of that vehicle was. We’re currently looking for them.”
One person was hurt in the incident and taken to hospital, but police say they are recovering. No arrests have yet been made.
