Elderly man found in Vancouver’s West End

UPDATE: He has been found safe.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Vancouver Police have found an 81-year-old man who went missing in the West End.

The man was last seen leaving his home near Burrard and Burnaby Street around 5 p.m. on July 16.

He was supposed to catch a flight the next day, but was reported missing after a family member went to his home to take him to the airport and found him not home.

Police say he is forgetful and may have dementia. He enjoys spending time in West End coffee shops and grocery stores.

Anyone who sees he is asked to call 9-1-1 right away.
