Mounties bust alleged drug trafficking in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK (NEWS 1130) – Mounties have seized a stash of firearms, drugs and vehicles after an investigation into alleged drug trafficking.

On July 5, the Chilliwack RCMP Priority Target Team served a search warrant and found and a loaded shotgun, modified handgun, two cross bows, ammunition and replica handgun air pistols.

A motorcycle, dirt bike and two scooters along with drugs believed to be fentanyl, paraphernalia associated to drug trafficking and cash were also found.

One person was arrested on an unrelated matter, Mounties say.

The investigation will now be forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service to decide on criminal charges.
