NEWS 1130 talks classic cars and ag-trag stars

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Agricultural-tragic, alt-country music star Corb Lund kicked-off the 42nd Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival at Jericho Beach Park with a bang. I had a chance to chat backstage with Mr. Lund and learn the truth as to why his Vancouver Folk Music Festival headlining act took so long to happen. Better late than never for Corb Lund fans, as despite the longstanding rules of the Folk Festival MainStage area, the crowds were breaking down dance area barriers to get up close and let loose during his performance.

We teamed up with our Cruiser sponsor G&F Financial at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver for the Ultimate Car Show on Saturday. Rock ‘n’ roll, hot rods and classic cars are a perfect combination and that is what car show fans demanded! Even Paul Brown from our sister station 96.9 JackFM was drooling over a Rolls Royce and, of course, my cruiser.

It was great talking with the Terry Fox Foundation about the upcoming run this September 15. Please sign up and support Canadian hero Terry Fox and his mission to conquer cancer!
