BC Hydro worker hit by falling piece of wood in forested area near Lions Bay

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A falling piece of wood struck a BC Hydro worker in a forested area near Lions Bay today.

Mike Danks with North Shore Rescue says they were called out around 11 this morning near Strip Creek.

“We have two emergency physicians that on-site with the subject as well as the local fire department. Multiple search and rescue teams, B.C. Ambulance, as well as RCMP.”

Danks says the man was long-lined out of the area, then taken to an ambulance, and may have a pelvic injury.
