Police say temperatures were reaching 30 degrees Celsius inside the car earlier this month.

Someone passing by happened to notice and called police and fire to help out, and they took the child out, before ambulance crews checked it out.

The parent was eventually found nearby, and the Ministry of Childcare and Family Development has been contacted.

Mounties are out with a reminder that temperatures can reach lethal levels in a short period of time, and to never leave your child alone in a hot car.
