SURREY (NEWS 1130) – One person is dead and two are arrested after a shooting at the Southpoint Exchange Mall around 152 Street and 32 Street.
Surrey RCMP responded and found one man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was attended to by BC Emergency Health Services, but they were unable to revive him.
The two suspects attempted to flee the scene, first in a vehicle and then on foot, before being arrested.
The shooting took place in the drive-thru of a financial institution around 9:20 a.m. on Friday.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is taking over the investigation.

A man at the scene says the victim was driving a blue Viper. Others have described seeing a black SUV driving away from the scene after shots were fired.
“I was in the parking lot, I was at the Canadian Tire when it happened and walked over and checked on the guy,” he says. “But he didn’t pull through.”
Meantime, another witness says they saw a police cruiser chase down a vehicle shortly after shots were fired in the area of 152 Street and 88 Avenue.
