2 in hospital following crash involving stolen truck in Langley

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) — Two people are in the hospital in serious condition after their car was t-boned by a stolen truck in Langley Monday morning, and police are still searching for a suspect.

The crash 28 Avenue and 196 Street happened at just before noon.

“Our members just happened upon the collision and it turns out it’s a F350 that collided with the side of a Pacifica. It turns out the F350 is stolen and the occupant driver fled on foot and was not apprehended,” said. Cpl. Holly Largy with Langley RCMP, adding police are now searching the truck for clues as to who was driving.

The driver of the Pacifica was airlifted by BC Emergency Health Services to hospital while the passenger was driven to the hospital, both in serious condition.

Police do not yet have a description of their suspect, by Largy said officers were likely canvassing the area.

Around 1:35 p.m. a second crash at Fraser Highway near 240 Street sent one person to the hospital in stable condition. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
