Team Canada wins 2019 Celebration of Light

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A “stand-out” synchronized fireworks show with an impressive grand finale was enough to sway the judges, making Team Canada the winner of the 29th Celebration of Light.
Three nights of fireworks at English Bay concluded with Team Croatia on Saturday. Over one million festival-goers packed the surrounding parks and beaches across the three performances.
“Team Canada really used the barge and supplied equipment to their full potential, they pushed limits by mounting their products in new and exciting ways to fill the scenes from varied angles and even spelled out ‘HELLO’ in sparks,” says Kelly Guille, President of Archangel Fireworks Inc.
Team Croatia — a first-timer at the event — was named the People’s Choice Winner.
The annual Celebration of Light is billed as the world’s longest running offshore fireworks competition.
