CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary Transit has yet to comment on a racist tirade that was captured on video and posted to social media.

FULL VIDEO: Warning, strong language. Viewer discretion is advised.

The video was uploaded on Aug. 8 to Reem’s Facebook page and has garnered a lot of attention already, with people saying the man was ignorant and uneducated.

In one instance, the man shouted about how people from non-white countries being rapists.

“I have the right to resist the infiltration of your guy’s invasion of Canada,” he shouted.

It’s not known if drugs or alcohol were involved. Both 660 NEWS and CityNews reached out to Calgary Transit over the weekend for clarification, but have not heard back as of Monday morning.

Despite the hateful comments, the woman who recorded the event is proud of her fellow passengers for doing the right thing.

They started booing, and at one point, another man kicked the man’s bike.

“No one should get away with these comments and it was really nice to see everyone standing up,” Kadri told CityNews, “I’m a Lebanese citizen and so those comments were a little personal to me. I’m a very big advocate about standing up to other people.”

“The fact that people were standing up to this person… I was really proud and I felt safe in that area.”

The identity of the man is unknown.
