Fraser Valley Bandits play final game of season tonight

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Professional Basketball in B.C. is coming to an end for the year, as the Fraser Valley Bandits play their final game of the season tonight.

It’s been a tough inaugural season, with the Bandits currently sit last in the league at a record of 4-and-15. Despite the struggle, team representative Dylan Kular says attendance was strong through the season.

“We had the second largest home opener in the league and numbers going over 3,000 at multiple times this season, and then it started to taper off as we got into summer,” he said, adding says most games have been on a Thursday, but it’s clear fans prefer weekends. “We did have one Saturday game this season and it was one of our best attended game. Not only that, we had individuals coming from Vancouver, Burnaby and Coquitlam.”

Tonight’s game starts at 7 p.m. at the Abbotsford Centre.
