VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A fire on Parker Avenue has left one firefighter injured.
It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday and the fire has since been extinguished.
Assistant Fire Chief Dan Stroup says the second-alarm fire happened at an art studio where the firefighter was injured in fall. He is expected to fully recover. Stroup says even still, they never want to see injuries on the job.
“We try to avoid that, but some of these scenes it’s unavoidable,” he says, but he can’t say how it happened, or how old the firefighter is.
This am @VanFireRescue crews responded to a 2nd alarm fire at 1000 Parker St.
