Dump truck crashes into Subway in Seattle’s Pioneer Square

SEATTLE – Authorities say a dump truck crashed into vehicles and a Subway restaurant in Pioneer Square in Seattle, injuring five people on Monday morning.

The Seattle Fire Department said four of the people had serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.

The Subway restaurant and the entire building were evacuated after the crash, and the Seattle Fire Department said on Twitter the building had suffered some structural damage.

Pioneer Square is a historic restaurant and nightlife district in Seattle, close to the city’s sports stadiums.
